The annual Holiday Luncheon gathering for 2008 will be held on Saturday, December 27th beginning at 1:00pm at Romeo’s Restaurant in the plaza at the corner of Long Pond Road and Ridgeway Avenue. Folks can gather at the bar or get a table and eat together. We plan on being there throughout the afternoon if you wish to stop at any time.

What: Class of 1978 30 Year Class Reunion
Date: Friday, November 28th 2008

The class of 1978 will have our 30 year reunion on Friday, November 28th 2008 at Rick's Prime Rib House, 898 Buffalo Road, Rochester, NY 14624. Festivities start at 6pm. Cost is $65.00 per person. This will include 1 hour happy hour/open bar, dinner (grazing stations)desert and coffee, music and dancing.

We have tentatively planned to hold our 20th reunion on Saturday, November 28, 2009 at Brooklea Country Club in Gates. We are in the process of organizing contact information for all graduates. You can help by sending your contact information to me in an e-mail.

We have begun the planning of our 25th Class Reunion and are very excited about this upcoming event. The date is Saturday, November 29, 2008. The location is Rick's Prime Rib House on Buffalo Road in Gates. I am sorry to tell my classmates about the death of Larry Howard Mattison, on January 24, 2008, in the town of Brighton. Friends may call at the James R. Gray Funeral Home, 1530 Buffalo Rd., Sunday, 2-5 pm, where a service will be held Monday, 11 am.

Being a student of GCHS from fall of '76 through summer of '80, I remember being thankful to dodge the bullet of morning vs. afternoon sessions. No worry about having to get up before the roosters, or hoping to get home in time for dinner. My teenaged children had the chance to visit Rochester when I came up for the 25th reunion (2005), and I wanted to show them just how sprawling the old gal was...

I would still like to organize a get together for all classmates of Gates Chili High School, from the class years of 1961 through 1969. This includes all graduating years from the 60's. Since so many of us were good friends with classmates from other graduating years, I think that this would give us an opportunity to see each other.

Anyone out there giving thoughts to a 35th Reunion for the Class of 1973?
2008 will be here sooner than you think. Remember the older you get the faster time flies.

I am looking for assistance in organizing a 35th class reunion for the GC class of 1972. It has been 15 years since we gathered. Who out there is interested?

Do you remember the snow storm of February 1966. School was out for about a week and a half. I think it was that storm that made me decide to move to a place with no snow. I've been in Florida now for 32 years. Just before the storm my parents left for a two week vacation to the Virgin Isands.No sooner after they left and the snow started. Soon snow plows were even stuck and left on Trabold Road. The snow drifted over the plows. Then there was the party while the folks were away. Lets see......Tom Haschmann, Jim Myers, Sandy Yeager, Barb (geessh I forget the last name). Boy did we get in trouble. I won't incriminate the "gang" but what a night after the party!!

After our banquet was over we were all headed to a party at Joan and Julie Walrath's house on Chili Ave. Not wanting to draw attention to the police by parking on Chili Avenue we decided to park behind Washington Irving School Where we were met by the Gates Police when we returned from the party.They asked us all for our licenses and car registrations which none of us had because we were all driving our parents cars.
