1966 Reunion Decisions
If you are a graduate of the Class of '66, I need your help in making reunion event choices. This will help me to set the price and send out the final invites/RSVP's. Please comment on the following:
1. Hours: The Woodside lodge, at Black Creek park, is available to us from 10:00 a.m. until 10:30 p.m.. I, personally, would like some time to clean up afterward and the park closes at 11:00 p.m.. If you want to get directions or read more about the park, click here --> Black Creek Park
What hours would you like to start and stop this event?
Would you be willing to volunteer as a welcomer?
Would you be willing to volunteer to cleanup?
2. Alcohol: I don't drink so you need to make this decision. I did get a beer keg permit when I paid for the lodge, in case.
Do we want to serve beer (the park has some rules for this)?
If so....
Will you volunteer to purchase and transport Keg(s)?
Would you volunteer to be a 'keg watcher'?
Would you volunteer to be a 'designated driver', if needed?
3. Food: Nancy and I had talked about a simple 'dish to pass' event. This may be hard for the out of towners.
Do we want a dish to pass event?
If so, should we charge extra for the out of towners to pay for a food product, like meat?
Should we, instead, get a caterer?
Catered choices would be full catering, partial catering, pig roast, chicken bbq, or clam bake. If we choose this, which would you prefer?
What time should we eat or should we 'graze' (if we have a dish to pass)?
4. Entertainment:
Should we have a DJ?
If so, what hours (this may be an all day event)?
If so, what type of music?
5. Events: If this is an 'all day' event, we may want to choose some events. For individual events there are hiking trails and fishing (with a license).
Would you like to have a ball game (softball, volleyball, etc..)?
If we choose a game, would you volunteer equipment and setup?
Are there other events you think would be fun for everyone?
6. Special: Joan and I have discussed honoring Charles Dispenza during our reunion. He touched so many lives and has kept touching so many lives since he 'retired'.
Do you agree with this decision?
If so, would you volunteer to work on this?
Okay, this is a first draft of this. Your comments will help build on these ideas. If you have suggestions for improvement, or if you are willing to volunteer, please reply to this and give me your input.
