I would still like to organize a get together for all classmates of Gates Chili High School, from the class years of 1961 through 1969. This includes all graduating years from the 60's. Since so many of us were good friends with classmates from other graduating years, I think that this would give us an opportunity to see each other.

When you first registered for the Gates Chili High Alumni website, you were sent a temporary password to login. In order to continue using the site, you needed to login with that temporary password and reset it to a new password that you would remember. David Merrill, from the Gates Chili High School Class of 1966, passed away this week. Dave was a very active guy who always had a quick smile and a hearty laugh. He has battled cancer, and it's effects, for many years. You can read his obituary here:

I just wanted to remind you all that the GCHS Homecoming. This is the time when we all get an opportunity to go out and show our support for our alma mater. Let the 'GCHS kids' know that you still support the school and it's activities. If you are close to the school, consider going to the football game on Saturday afternoon, September 30th.

I finally made it to New York State and got my electric, telephone, and at least partially running water. All of these basic necessities of life required my jumping through 'hoops of fire' to acquire (and lots of money!). My kids, and grandkids, are coming to visit this next week, so I really need a flushing toilet. LOL

First I need to say that I know the temporary password has confused many of you. It is necessary to keep spammers and abusers off of the website. I have been having some networking problems with the facilities that house all of my websites, including the GCHS Alumni website. Over the last couple of weeks I have been experiencing lost data problems. On 4/30, after going through the frustration of teaching the young techies that they have a lot to still learn, the owner of my facility contacted me, apologized profusely, and moved all my data from Houston TX to Atlanta GA.
