Who Are We?
First, let's answer who we 'are not'. We are not the Gates Chili High School or website (their link is on the front page of this site). And we are not the official GCAA Alumni Association.
We are graduate classmates of the Gates Chili High School, Rochester, Monroe County, New York State; who have come together, on this website, to share memories, class reunion information and planning. And, to hopefully leave a historical legacy for the GCHS students who follow us.
Membership to the website is free, because it is not affiliated with any business or other organization. I pay for and maintain the site, personally. Registration for the website is voluntary, so not all graduating members will become members. And not every registered member will choose to actively participate. But, I sincerely hope you do!
There are currently three levels of membership on the website:
Website Administrator - That's me. I am the lady who develops and maintains the website. I also will be monitoring membership to keep spammers and abusers off the site. I have access to all Administrator areas of the website, Reunion Administrator areas, and Classmate member areas. I review all registrations for validity, prior to member usage. And I can invite non-members to join without having to go through the validation process.
Reunion Administrator - Each class that is having a reunion will choose an administrator. This person will have access to member invitations and newsletter mailings. I hope this will help them to find and communicate with classmates more easily. They will also be allowed to upload pictures, through a gallery system created for reunion events. And, they will have access to their own Classmate Member level.
Classmate Member - That's the majority of you. If you are a graduate of Gates Chili High School, you can join this website. This will allow you to submit a classmate profile; upload a small current picture of yourself to be displayed on your profle; participate in the all discussions and events; submit your own memories; and be a part of any general event or class reunion event planning.
